Lab results arrive as PDFs, one per visit, in whatever layout the lab chose. A single result tells you little; the trend is the clinical signal, and nobody has time to transcribe it.
The PDF is parsed structurally where it has tables and read by a model where it does not, normalised into markers with units and reference ranges, then charted across every report for that patient.
